The oakleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia) bears lovely flowers in late spring.  Fall leaves are red and bark is cinnamon colored and peeling.  The variety shown here is the double-flowered 'Snowflake'.  It makes a fine addition to spring flower arrangements and like most hydrangeas, dries beautifully.
