My friend Carson Slaton loved ornamental grasses and had great fun with them.  He is shown here with a prized broom sedge (Andropogon virginica) beside the front steps to his home.  In late summer, grasses will often flop.  Carson solved the problem by using baling twine to lash them into a sheaf.  Later in the season, he adorned his confined grasses with Christmas lights.
