Hardy amaryllis (Hippeastrum johnsonii) is a wonderful passalong plant. I always admired it in sunny gardens. Jackson, MS Landscape Architect Rick Griffin taught me to use it in the shade. It blooms wonderfully and really spices up the shade garden pallet.
